Frances L. Ellis - Sitio Web Conmemorativo En Línea

     Fran was born on May 7, 1932 in Peoria, daughter of Ray L. and Frances D. (Schlenker) Reum. She married Ernest “Ernie” F. Ellis on July 5, 1959 at Glen Oak Christian Church in Peoria. He preceded her in death on October 18, 1997. Her parents also preceded her in death.

     She is survived by her daughter, Karen L. (Ron) Miles of Peoria; grandson, Michael T. Miles of Peoria; brother, Jack R. Reum of Manhattan, NY; and her beloved cats, Sammy and Heidi at home.

     Fran graduated from Woodruff High School in Peoria in 1950. Prior to the birth of her daughter, she was employed as a secretary with Pittsburgh Plate Glass in Peoria.

     She loved playing slot machines, collecting “cat” items, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and listening to a wide range of music, including Jazz, Tony Bennett and piano.

     Fran was a dedicated volunteer at St. Joseph’s Home in West Peoria and a devoted grandmother to her grandson, Michael. She will be remembered as a worrier, for being loving, kind and generous to a fault.
